How do I qualify?
All entries come from Section Qualifiers or Exemptions. For more details visit the Invitation Criteria page.
What are the age restrictions?
All competitors must be 18 or younger on the final round of competition.
What is the refund policy?
The Junior PGA Championships refund policy applies to players who have paid the registration fee and subsequently withdraw prior to starting the event.
Withdrawals must be made either through the online Golf Genius portal or via email to juniorpgachampionship@thepga.com.
Players who withdraw fifteen (15) or more days prior to the first Championship practice round will be refunded 75% of the registration fee.
Players who withdraw for any reason between five (5) and fourteen (14) days prior to the first Championship practice round will be refunded 50% of the registration fee.
Players who withdraw for any reason between four (4) days prior to the first Championship practice round and the end of the Championship will receive no refund.
Registered players who withdraw will not receive the Championship tee gifts.
2025 Championship Withdrawal Deadlines
Prior to July 13, 2025 - Player receives 75% of registration fee
July 13, 2025 - July 22, 2025 - Player receives 50% of registration fee
July 23, 2025 - August 1, 2025 - Player receives no refund
What is the alternate policy?
Junior PGA Championship Alternates
Openings caused by the withdrawal or non-entry of any of the 48th Boys Junior PGA Championship or 48th Girls Junior PGA Championship players who qualified to play in his or her respective Junior PGA Championship through exemptions A-2, A-3 or A-4, will be filled exclusively from an alternate list determined by the section where that player qualified.
Each Section must designate five (5) ordered alternates during their Section Junior PGA Championship.
All alternates must come from your Section Junior PGA Championship.
The withdrawal or non-entry of a Section's At-Large Bid will be filled exclusively from the Section's alternate list.
In addition to these players being an alternate for the Section, they will automatically be added to the Special Exemption Request list.
If the Section exhausts their alternate list, then that open spot will be filled from an alternate list determined by the Championship Committee.
Openings caused by the withdrawal or non-entry of any of the Boys Junior PGA Championship or Girls Junior PGA Championship players who qualified to play in his or her respective Championship through exemptions A-1, A-5, B, C, D, or E, will be filled exclusively from an alternate list determined by the Championship Committee.
Openings caused by the withdrawal or non-entry of any of the Boys or Girls Junior PGA Championship players after Tuesday, July 23rd will be filled using an on-site alternate list created by the Championship Committee.
How do I volunteer?
Enthustiastic volunteers are the spirit of the Championship! More information about volunteer opportunities will be available in spring 2025!
Will there be spectator or ADA carts available during the championship rounds?
Individual disabled spectator golf cars are not available at the championship. Accessibility shuttles will be running to on-course viewing stations where multiple holes can be seen. A list of shuttle locations and more instructions will be available onsite at the Championship. Please stop by the Golf Shop upon your arrival for more information.
Are players permitted to have caddies during the championship?
Players are not permitted to have a caddie during competition rounds. Each player must carry or push/pull their own equipment. Players may utilize a caddy for official practice rounds only.
